 note = {application/pdf, This study reports the case of a female university student who had experienced identity crisis and had sturuggled to achieve ego-identity. At the first stage of her counseling process, she had a negative attitude toward her personal past, present and future. At the second stage, she had looked back over her own history and accepted a negative side of her personality. At the third stage, she had the most positive image of herself and had built a new ego-identity gradually. Japanese culture has the characteristic that people have cared for each other and sometimes have manipulated themselves to keep a sence of the unconscious unity. It was the characteristic of her ego-identity to be built on a sence of the unconscious unity with the other people.},
