The subjects of handicapped children employed were twenty children with the same number of a control group of normal children. The subjects were devided into fiive subgroups of children as follows; a lower age group with cerebral palsy, a higher age group with cerebral palsy, an otherwise handicapped group with no cerebral palsy, a lower normal age group and a higher normal group. All of the subjects received vestibular stimulation of pitching movement with playmaterials during 5 minutes. Pulse rate of the subjects were measured by pulse rate apparatus before and after movement treatments. These results were as follows; (1) Decrease of pulse rate within 30 seconds after movement, compare with before movement, was shown in 60.0 percent cases of severely handicapped children in contrast with 10.0 percent cases of normal children. (2) Average pulse rates measured between 60 seconds to 300 seconds range after the movement treatments showed the decrease in 70 percent handicapped children and in the 45 percent of normal children. (3) Decrease of pulse rates after movement treatments were greater in the case of children with cerebral palsy than the case of non-cerebral palsied children. In a view of these results it was indicated that cerebral palsied children were more likely to be affected by the influence of stimulation of movement treatment as compared with normal children.
