The respiratory functions were employed as an index of developments. The subjects of this study were two female asthmatic children; one who had no experience swimming and the other, who has been away from athletic exercises (Case 1 is 9 years old, Case 2 is 7 years old). The gross movement for the sake of breathing exercises have been practied by the subiects an hour every week in the indoor swimming pool. The respiratory functions (VC, PEFR) were measured by SPIROANALIZER CSA 800, before and after exercises. The results were as follows; The %VC of case I showed a decline at the beginning. The case, however, indicated an upward tendency after 5th exercise. And later the case reached the stable level of about 80 percent V.C. The PEFRs of both cases increased slowly with the progress of the exercise. In view of these results, the effectiveness of Movement Education in water for asthmatic children were confirmed.}, pages = {157--168}, title = {水の中でのムーブメント教育による喘息児の呼吸機能の改善に関する研究}, volume = {23}, year = {1983} }
