The following points became clear for the results of the two surveys.1）One of the most serious difficulties that international students face has to do with finance. However, the situationin 2012 became better than in 2003 for privately financed students due to the new policy of prioritizing entry into theinexpensive university dormitories as well as their better financial condition owing to the economic development oftheir countries. The economic gap between the government financed students and the privately financed students hasbeen reduced. 2）The other serious difficulty international students face is Japanese language.
