 note = {application/pdf, Since the 2003 academic year, the Japanese language division of this Center has conducted Japanese Placement Test for the foreign students entering with different selection methods. We also have conducted guidance for the study of Japanese language and observed the students' progress after enrollment. Ogawa・Maruyama・Okuno (2004) reported the actual condition of Japanese proficiency, and discussed the ideal form of Liberal Arts Japanese language courses that fit the realities of undergraduate students' language abilities. This paper reports the trials which has been conducted after Ogawa・Maruyama・Okuno (2004) and proposes some measures to clarify the problems in their early phases in order to maintain the quality of undergraduate education. It begins with a report of a trial of the Japanese Placement Test in the 2005 academic year, and the report of the Japanese Intermediate classes of General Education. After the discussion of the regulations of the curriculum for intermediate learners, it proposes some points for the future plan of Japanese language education of the General Education in the 2006 academic year.},
