Some of the participants run three times during the racing period of seven days, and most of them complain of their physical and mental fatigue. On this ground, we made researches on fatigue and conditioning in 1972. The researches were made on subjective and objective symptoms of fatigue and sleeping hours of the participants. The results were reported in A study of fatigue and conditioning in the Long-distance Relay race (No. 1), 1972. On the basis of this study, we examined, in the present report, various elements which exert influence on racing records, and analyzed individual records in relation to the elements. 1. When the racing period is limited to seven days and a runner makes three runs, the way to make good records is to run after two-day resulting period. 2. Those who run a long distance or a steep slope and who are older-aged need sufficient resting period. 3. The physical symptoms of subjective fatigue of those who ran three times increase in proportion to the frequency of their runs. Mental and neuro-sensory symptoms of fatigue were most frequently Complained of after they made the second run. 4. Health conditions of the runner were, in most cases, good.}, pages = {76--87}, title = {駅伝競走における疲労調査とコンディショニングに関する研究(第2報) : 青森-東京間駅伝競走について}, volume = {13}, year = {1973} }
