The stands of artificial were classified into four types on the basis of species composition. Each type had coincidence with four natural forest associations as follows: Arachniodes standishii type/ Polysticho-Perseetum thunbergii, Chamaele decumbens type/ Quercetum myrsinaefoliae, Displazium squamigerum type/ Aceri amoerli-Zelkovetum serratae, Carplnus japonica type/ Illicio-Abietetum firmae.
