In the Japan Islands, Mallotus japonicus forest extends from the Ryukyu Islands toward north as far as the southern part of the Honshu Island, Kanto and Chubu area. In the present study, a phytosociological analysis was designed based on the vegetation records referring to the releve from the already printed papers. Phytosociological vegetation units of six plant associations, one community and two alliances were determined.
