In Survey Ⅰ, interviews were conducted with professionals at ComprehensiveCommunity Support Centers. Based on the results of Survey Ⅰ, Survey Ⅱwas conducted with Minsei-iin. Bothsurveys were conducted in Y City in X Prefecture in a Metropolitan area. Modified Grounded Theory Approach was usedfor analyzing the data. It was indicated that professionals tried to regard Minsei-iin not as just a social resource to be utilized,but as a partner for mutual support through trial and error. It was indicated that \"personal understanding\" played animportant role in deepening the quality of the relationship. As shown by efforts for coexistence, activities of Minsei-iin wereconducted by balancing these activities with their personal life. Cooperation with professionals at Comprehensive Community Support Centers might affect the personal life of Minsei-iin in the community, and professionals should become awareof this possibility.
