The business enterprises seek work-ready personnel and desire human resources adaptable to these changes. Universities are also expected to develop human resources adaptable to these social needs. However, in Japan, university education has been centered on the enhancement of academic studies. It remains a long way from promptly and sufficiently adapting to these needs.
