 note = {application/pdf, This article aims to overview the change of motivation theories and to examine the function of the instructors’ verbal feedback about "the motivation" in the relationship. Not only in the reinforcement theory, but also in the self-determination theory (the intrinsic motivation theory), verbal feedback have been regarded as an external reward and it was suggested that positive feedback enhance motivation.　 However, the auto-motive theory, which highlights the effect of automatic processes driven by environmental features on nonconscious goal pursuit, suggests that we need new framework of the function of verbal feedback. Finally, potentiality of making the motivational climate, that implies goals as desired status by not only the positive feedback but also the negative feedback, is discussed.},
