本稿では、音楽解説などの語りがある「レクチャーコンサート」について、自らのアートマネジメントの実践を通して検討した。クラシック音楽中心のレクチャーコンサート「とよたクラシック音楽同好会」の企画、運営で提供してきた例会をふり返り、特に「語り」に注目し、「音楽をことばで語ること」について考察した。研究方法は、実践でのVTRをいくつか選択し、その中の「語り」の部分の時間配分や内容、語り方などを分析した。レクチャーコンサートにおける「語り」には、音楽の解説のみならず、語り手の音楽への思いや考え方、人生経験なども表現されていた。また、聴衆と演奏者それぞれの視点におけるレクチャーコンサートについての意見から、「語り」のあるコンサートが両者にとって意義あるものであると考察できた。
This paper examines lecture concerts that feature a musical commentary based on the author’s experiences in art management. Reviewing regular sessions of Toyota Classic Music Club ("Toyota Kurashikku Ongaku Doukoukai") lecture concerts centering on classical music, to which the author contributed in terms of planning and operation, the nature of explaining music with words, with particular focus on the narratives, was examined. The investigation method consisted in selecting a number of VCR tapes of actual events, and analyzing the time allocation and contents of the narrative portions, the narrative method, and so on. The narratives in the lecture concerts included not only explanations of the music, but also the narrator's feelings and thoughts toward music, his/her life experiences, and so on. Based on views about lecture concerts from the respective perspectives of the audience and the performers, a conclusion was drawn that concerts accompanied by narratives are meaningful for both the audience and the performers.
